It doesn't need to be louder I got mine in April and love it. Here's a video. And yes, "best sounding" has different meanings for everyone! Best thing to do is check them out in real life at a bike meetup or second best is to look them up on YouTube. I have the perfect combo for you The MWR filter is what does it sound wise.

It adds a little more sound that has a bit of throaty to it. The noise level is enough to drown out the sewing machine, but not to the level that the bike is loud. It runs great too. That combo with my R6 throttle tube is all I want motor-wise for my FZ. Do you have a tutorial or link on how to remove snorkel?

Get a piece of 2x4 or whatever you have to wedge the back of the tank up 3 area to give yourself some room to work.

Remove the phillips screws holding the air filter cover on the top of the box, very visible. Grab a flashlight and a phillips screwdriver long shaft, or as long as you have. Get that out, pull the filter out. If you've never taken the plastics off the tank area, google it. I'm not going to get into each screw and tab. It's easy, take your time the ecu hasn't even gotten to Kirkland ,WA. Emailed them and asked about compatibility since it wasn't listed and they confirmed the same day.

Sound is infinitely better than stock of course and completely changes the bike. Videos do not do the comparisons any justice. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Sign up for a new account in our community. It's easy!

Posted January 24, edited. Edited January 24, by Duke Formatting.Hi guys, Just wondering if anybody has recently purchased an exhaust system from these guys and if so what they thought of it. Can't recommend them enough. Could cause a problem with a picky MOT tester. It turned out that this is a known problem with them that has been reported by other buyers. They were not remotely interested in resolving it.

I would treat any claim about them not requiring rejetting, or actually fitting the bike, or having any warranty at all - let alone a 2 year unlimited mileage one - with the ridicule that it deserves. Full system with carbon end can magnesium tipped. Wonderful nice sound, really well put together. This is interesting, as I've had two Delkevic end cans and both whilst well made. Are obnoxiously loud.

One I'm removing from the ER6 tomorrow as I just can't live with it. It is what it is really. PB are running a system on their project Bandit at the moment and seem to think it's alright. I have a set of their downpipes on the GSXR. Bit close to the fairing in one spot, but otherwise seem fine. I was looking for a quieter exhaust really. Seems like they must be quite a large manufacturer now so I guess there will always be a small percentage of unhappy customers probably the loudest and like Ham says we're looking at the cheap end of the market.

Interesting claims that they're not road legal and are unusually loud. The can above does have a removable baffle and works quite well. Not sure if it has markings one way or the other.

Will have to look. I do have a video somewhere of baffle vs no baffle. But it is on a MSX, so the farty noise might not give a fair idea for a bigger bike. Sounds ok though. No money for homologation to be E-Marked means they're "race only".

Not sure if they use removable baffles or not. They're actually just down the road from me IIRC. Might be worth getting Black widow headers and a different end can if you want something quieter?

Are there no OE headers on eBay? I had a set of downpipes for my Fazer from them. Cheap enough and 3 years on still look OK so I can't complain. Black Widow and Delkevic are the only ones to list headers catless for mine.Journalists and enthusiasts all over the globe have raved about the fun and torquey nature of the cc inline-three engine.

Luckily, the aftermarket is filled with companies who offer high-quality exhaust systems which not only sound awesome but add power when combined with a high-quality tuning solution. Here are the best MT09 exhaust systems on the market.

This list is in no particular order and all the exhaust will fit any — current FZ09 or MT These exhausts will also fit Tracer and XSR Akrapovic has long been a leader in the high-end exhaust market. Their products are on the expensive side, however, they offer incredible quality with great sound-engineering. For the MT09 they offer three different exhaust systems.

The first system uses a carbon fiber muffler with a small loop under the bike. The second exhaust system uses a full titanium muffler without the small loop under the bike. This version is our favorite thanks to its awesome race looks and titanium construction. Like the carbon fiber version, the titanium muffler version uses a stainless steel header and mid-pipe.

The third exhaust system from Akrapovic uses is of a blend of the first two. This version is very similar to the titanium muffler version, except with a carbon fiber cap on the titanium muffler. The shape and design of the muffler is also slightly different. This version is the most expensive of all three, but it arguably looks the best.

Each Akrapovic system is lighter than the stock exhaust and offers a very clean exhaust note. Even with the baffle in, this exhaust sounds fantastic.

Second on our list is is the R exhaust from Yoshimura. Yoshi is one of the go-to exhaust companies for Japanese bikes and for the FZ09 they two different R exhaust systems. They make the header and mid-pipe of both exhausts from high-quality stainless steel. The difference is the muffler.

You can opt for a full carbon fiber muffler or a stainless steel muffler with a carbon fiber cap on the end. Both versions of the R are lighter than the stock exhaust and much louder. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Sign up for a new account in our community. It's easy! I'll bet you its loud as phuck. Me likey. Wow, I love the sound of that, and it looks good too Posted June 3, They have low mount and high mount exhausts with mm to mm length cans.

Doesn't have to be loud as phuck. They seem okay. A couple guys on the Facebook group have them and like them. It's based out of U. So hopefully engineering and build quality are good. Posted June 5, I was about to purchase that exact model, but I saw some reviews saying that too loud, so i got for the mm can with carbon look.

A bike designed to give homage to the darker and unconventional side of Japanese society can now be made even more mean, moody and exciting with the addition of Akrapovic's offering.

The Akrapovic Racing Titanium system is constructed from high quality stainless steel with a titanium alloy outer sleeve on the muffler body. Peak power gain of 5. Increased power-to-weight ratio with weight reduction of 5. The Akrapovic Racing Carbon Fiber system, with its striking carbon fiber outer-sleeve and stainless steel headers, suits the naked design of the Yamaha bike and this exhaust will certainly bring the best out of the high-torque 3-cylinder engine that beats inside the heart of the Yamaha.

Producing an extra 4. The Akrapovic Racing Line has been designed specifically for demanding riders and represents an ideal balance between price and performance. The exhaust systems are dramatically lighter compared to stock exhaust systems and feature exceptional production quality and increased engine performance combined with pure racing sound output.

The headers and mid-pipes are constructed of high-quality stainless steel conical tubes with precision handcrafting. A special process known as hydroforming is used in the manufacturing of the exhaust pipes.

This process injects pressurized water into each tube to form the ideal shape for optimum exhaust flow without causing creases or compromising the strength of the steel. Increased power and torque result in a much smoother ride. All Akrapovic exhaust system measurements are formulated on in-house computer-controlled flow benches.

The headers and mid-pipes of the Evolution Line are constructed exclusively of titanium while the Racing Line uses stainless steel. Navigation Menu. Wish List.
